The CDCC was first accredited in 1975. Since then, it has been awarded accreditation eight consecutive times; earning the 3-Star designation in 2008 and then 5-star accreditation from the U.S Chamber of Commerce on November 6, 2013.

The CDCC achieved 5-Star Accreditation status again in November 2018. This places the CDCC in the top 3% of all chambers in the United States. There are just over 7,000 Chambers in the United States; of which only 146 have achieved the 5-Star designation.

Accreditation is important to CDCC members because it is an internal audit of everything the Chamber does – programs, events, publications, the total operation. This kind of accountability and credibility demonstrates to members that their membership in the CDCC provides a good return on their investment.
