Director of Marketing
& Communications
Director of Leadership
Central Delaware (LCD)
The Director of Marketing and Communications Will:
• Serve as the editor for the Chamber Connections Newspaper, Central Delaware Resource Guide, Kent County Map, CDCC E-News, and other weekly eNewsletters.
• Coordinate and implement the CDCC Marketing Plan, including all advertising campaigns.
• Develop all marketing materials and oversee the CDCC Marketing Committee.
• Be involved in ribbon cuttings and other duties as assigned.
• Work with the Executive Assistant and others on the development of the CDCC Website.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Project management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Excellent writing skills with knowledge of graphics and publishing.
• Proficiency in social media and sales.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with proprietary computer software.
• Ability to thrive in a team setting and be a self-starter.
• Valid driver’s license and means of transportation.
Position Details:
• Full-time salaried permanent position with benefits.
• Office hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with one hour for lunch.
• Presence required at events outside of normal working hours.
The Director/Coordinator of Leadership Central Delaware will:
• Coordinate and facilitate the Chamber’s 10-month leadership development program, Leadership Central Delaware.
• Manage nine (9) day-long sessions (one per month, beginning in October), an opening and closing retreat, and graduation.
• Organize each day-long session focused on different segments of Kent County.
• Facilitate sessions featuring industry leaders, presentations, tours, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Efficiently execute and maintain the Chamber’s “diamond program” by directing class days and other experiences.
• Arrange transportation and food needs, schedule speakers and tours, and work with a steering committee.
• Interview candidates and work with LCD alumni.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 5 years of work experience.
• Demonstrated ability in successful project management.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and complete work independently and logically.
• Initiative and well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within deadlines.
• Proficiency with proprietary computer software.
• Ability to work both with a team and independently.
• Valid driver’s license and own means of transportation.
Position Details:
• Part-time position averaging 40 hours per month.
• Reports directly to the President.
• Normal working hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with one hour for lunch.
• Attendance required at some activities and events outside of normal working hours.
