RICH WINDON
Tell us a little about your business/organization: How did it begin? What are your services/ products, etc.?
G. Fedale has been a leader in home improvement for over 20 years. It all started when Glenn Fedale used his knowledge, skills, and faith to start his own business. Through those humble beginnings years ago, which often involved long days of hard work, he built a successful company. Glenn knew that one day his dedication to his clients would fulfill his dream of owning a successful business. With the support of his wife Laura, the business grew from just a few employees to a multi-location company serving thousands of satisfied customers in multiple states throughout the years.
Tell us about your role in the business/organization.
As a Brand Ambassador for G. Fedale there are many responsibilities. Some things include building relationships with potential customers through our own network and community, or at trade/home shows, door to door or during the event of a storm.
We are also involved in the insurance process, providing homeowners with help with what can be a complex process in the event of storm damage to their home. Things such as tarps if there is a leak, video and picture evidence of damage, verifying the insurance company’s information, and providing overall peace of mind while getting through what can be a stressful time with their home.
Tell us something that makes your business/organization unique.
We are family owned and operated after 20 plus years of business and I, personally being a relatively new employee, can confidently say that that the company culture is still alive and well at G. Fedale. This company is built on teamwork and strong relationships which allow us to thrive in a competitive industry.
What do you see for the future of your business/organization?
I see G. Fedale growing and expanding in the years to come. We just recently opened a new office in Berlin, MD. That will increase our locations to six, including Newport, Lewes, and Georgetown in Delaware, and Chadds Ford and North Wales in Pennsylvania.
How has the chamber helped your business to grow?
Growing a business is all about trust… but you can’t trust someone that you haven’t met! The Chamber has created an opportunity for our company that has helped our business tremendously. Having a place to market our services on a regular basis while creating trusting relationships with other companies is always beneficial for any company. But being able to create those relationships and see the same faces on a regular basis goes a long way, and I think that is the meaning of this organization.
What is your best advice to other businesses?
Invest in your employees and their knowledge so that your company is filled with hard-working, knowledgeable people.
